GREEN EARTH LANDWORKS, LLC:
Innovating Environmental Solutions Since 2001
Green Earth Landworks LLC was founded in 2001 by Christina Eneix and her husband Jeremiah while they were in college, initially as a summer job to pay for their education. Starting with landscaping services, we have since evolved to specialize in revegetation, environmental services, and storm pollution prevention products.
Over the years, we transitioned from operating a large retail nursery to focusing on large-scale projects and special-order plant materials. Our primary clients now include government entities such as municipalities, parks and recreation departments, and forestry divisions.
EXPANDING EXPERTISE:
From Landscaping to Demolition
We have broadened our service offerings to include demolition projects. One of our notable projects involved the demolition of the Alaska House at a radar site established by NASA for the NOAA in the 1950s. This complex project required extensive abatement and a deep understanding of the NOAA mission to ensure the building could be taken offline without disrupting critical operations.
Working in the northern region of Fox, Alaska, at such a historic site, provided a unique and fulfilling challenge for our team. The project not only highlighted our technical skills but also showcased our ability to work collaboratively with the local community, which is rich with talented and interesting individuals.
CHAMPIONING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES WITH EM-1
A cornerstone of our success has been our advocacy and use of EM-1, a non-toxic waste treatment that also aids in composting. This Japanese technology, utilized globally, has been part of our operations for over fifteen years. We have integrated EM-1 into our compost production and collaborated with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities to develop specifications for hydroseeding with EM-1, reducing the need for chemical fertilizers. EM-1 consists of naturally occurring beneficial microorganisms and is certified organic by the Organic Materials Review Institute.
COLLABORATIVE SUCCESS
The range of services we offer impacts our staffing levels, which can vary from twenty to fifty employees depending on the contracts in place. We have found value in maintaining a smaller, cohesive team and forming strategic alliances with specialty businesses. This approach led to a mentor-protégé partnership with Frawner Corporation, aiding us in expanding into HVAC projects.
Matt Peterkin, project manager with Frawner Corporation, praises our professionalism in joint projects on JBER, which include construction, civil, HVAC, and landscaping. Frawner, a Native American- and family-owned business specializing in general, civil, and industrial construction, appreciates our courteous, knowledgeable, and honest approach.
